Being a new mom is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but I have to admit that life has drastically changed over the past few months. My days are now consumed with feeding, changing diapers, and keeping up with the family schedule. As much as I love being a mom, sometimes I find myself longing for a little bit of normalcy.

It’s the small, everyday, things that we often take for granted that I miss the most. Before becoming a mom, I would grab a drink with friends after work, endlessly stroll the aisles of Target with a coffee in hand, or go cheer on the Washington Capitals in the city. Now, just getting out of the house can feel overwhelming. A full grocery shopping trip? No chance.

It’s during this time of my life where curbside pickup has come into play and has become a lifeline and opened my eyes to a new level of convenience. Let’s face it, time is a precious commodity for parents. With curbside pickup, I don’t have to spend hours walking up and down the crowded aisles of a grocery store with a restless baby, risking meltdowns and unexpected blowouts. Instead, I can simply order my groceries online and have them handed to me when ready. An errand that typically takes at least an hour is now accomplished within a few minutes, while my baby can stay snoozing in her carseat. This has been a lifeline for us as we navigate being new parents.

Another source of anxiety for me as a new mom has been avoiding unnecessary exposure to strangers during cold and flu season. Running mundane errands with my newborn has introduced a new level of stress that I did not previously have. Using pickup helps me avoid crowded stores and lines, allowing me to reduce my newborn’s exposure to illness during a critical time for immune system building.

Curbside pickup has been a game-changer for me as a new mom. It has saved me time, reduced stress, and provided the convenience and accessibility I need to effectively manage my family’s shopping needs. If you’re a mom seeking a better way to balance responsibilities, I highly encourage you to rely more on the luxury of curbside pickup. It’s a service that can greatly simplify your life and give you the peace of mind you deserve.
