District Taco wanted a fresh way to grow app downloads, increase loyalty program adoption, and re-engage existing guests with something more dynamic than a traditional promotion. The team was looking for an experience that aligned with what guests were already doing, visiting a District Taco, rather than asking them to scan codes, enter contests, or take extra steps.

SOLUTION

District Taco partnered with Flybuy, Brame, and Thanx to launch a four-week “Spin & Win” promotion powered by location-triggered gamification. When app-users were nearby a District Taco location, Flybuy’s location intelligence triggered a notification inviting them to spin a digital wheel for the chance to earn rewards points. Brame delivered the interactive game layer, Thanx managed loyalty and rewards fulfillment, and Flybuy enabled the precise, real-time location detection that triggered engagement at the optimal moment.

Rewards points were automatically added to each guest’s District Taco app loyalty wallet for easy redemption. Guests could play once per day, with all rewards delivered digitally, creating a frictionless, repeatable engagement loop that bridged the physical and digital customer journey.
